Mikkel Aaland

Photographer, Bestselling Author, Workshop Leader
Mikkel Aaland is an award-winning photographer, a popular workshop leader, and the author of ten books, including Photoshop CS3 RAW (O’Reilly, 2008), Photoshop Lightroom 2 Adventure (O’Reilly, 2008), Shooting Digital, 2nd Edition (Wiley, 2006), and Photoshop Elements 4 Solutions (Wiley, 2006). He is based in San Francisco and Telemark, Norway.

Megan Andersen

Writer, Photographer, Crafter
In 2010, Megan Andersen swapped her suit jacket for a non-stick smock and forged a new career as a craft blogger and freelance writer. To the people who knew her well, this was no surprise; having grown up in a creative house where art was encouraged and practiced, she was constantly trying out new art techniques and developing new crafting skills. Megan’s blog “radmegan: in words & pictures” highlights her crafting, gardening, and cooking adventures, and always pairs instruction, experiences, and humor with colorful and vibrant photography. She has also written for national magazines such as BUST and Bitch and teaches monthly craft classes at the Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica, California. Megan lives in Los Angeles with her husband and over 500 carnivorous plants.

Jim Babbage

Educator, Solutions Consultant
Jim Babbage’s passion to share knowledge, take photographs, and manipulate images has led him to long-lasting careers in those areas as both a college professor and a creative professional. Jim is a regular contributor to Community MX – where he´s written hundreds of articles on Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and general web and photography topics – and has spoken at Adobe MAX and D2WC. He has also written five books for Peachpit Press, focused on Adobe Fireworks. Currently, Jim is a solutions consultant for Adobe, supporting the Canadian educational sales team.

Steve Caplin

Author and Illustrator
Steve Caplin is a freelance Photoshop artist specializing in satirical photomontage. His work appears in newspapers and magazines both in the United Kingdom, where he lives, and around the world. He is also a prolific author, having produced six editions of the best-selling How to Cheat in Photoshop, as well as 100% Photoshop, Art & Design in Photoshop, and Icon Design, among other titles.

Chad Chelius

Adobe Certified Instructor, Author, and Consultant
Chad Chelius has been using Adobe software for more than 20 years and has been a contributing author to numerous books on Adobe print applications. As an Adobe Certified Instructor, he teaches classes on Adobe applications and speaks at conferences throughout the United States. Chad has helped major publishing clients to implement Adobe software into their business processes and has assisted them in streamlining their workflows. His trial-by-fire experience in the print and web industries makes him a valuable trainer to his clients.

Joe Chellman

Teacher, Web Designer
Joe Chellman is a trainer and web designer. He frequently trains and speaks at workshops and conferences on open source web software. Joe is a web designer in the late 90s sense: a tech generalist who is capable of doing everything a website needs to come to life. Since he began tinkering with the web in university, he has gone on to build many dozens of websites for artists, nonprofits, and small businesses, both independently and in collaboration with other organizations around the United States and occasionally around the world.

An Adobe Certified Instructor in Photoshop, Lightroom, and more, he´s also a frequent speaker at major trade conferences.

Jeff Cogswell

Software Engineer, Trainer
Jeff Cogswell has nearly 25 years of experience as both a software engineer and a professional trainer. He has worked on development teams doing everything from low-level C programming on Unix up to high-level web development. In the past few years he has devoted his time completely to web development, mastering the intricacies of JavaScript, Ajax, and server-side programming. He has written several books and articles covering various topics and has led corporate courses in C++, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, and much more.

Sally Cox

Sally Cox has 12 years of experience in the printing/publishing industry and is a former art director for Adobe Systems on the multimedia team. She is an Adobe Certified Software Trainer and published author of books and white papers on Adobe products. Sally has taught graphic design courses at two Art Institute of California campuses and continues teaching Adobe software, both in the classroom and online via Adobe Connect Pro. She delights in combining her print background with new technologies to stay on the cutting edge.

Rufus Deuchler

Designer, Trainer, Speaker
A graduate of the Art Center College of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design, Rufus Deuchler has worked as a corporate and editorial designer throughout Europe, and has been teaching graphic design since 1995. In 2002, Adobe Italia invited Rufus to become a cross-media guru to help spread the word about Adobe products and what they can do. Since then, he has been talking about and teaching Adobe creative software and workflows all over the world.

Colin Fleming

As a solutions consultant for Adobe Systems, Colin Fleming applies his knowledge of photography, 3D, design, print production, prepress, and software to provide appropriate workflow solutions for Adobe customers. Before joining Adobe, Colin was a freelance trainer specializing in workflow conversions to InDesign and the Creative Suite. He has taught intense, high-level classes in design and production techniques since 1999 and is an Adobe Certified Instructor in many Adobe Creative Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, and Lightroom, as well as a Creative Suite Master Instructor. He’s in high demand currently for his knowledge of techniques in the fast-developing areas of ePub and Digital Publishing Suite workflows.

Jeff Foster

Jeff Foster has been producing and teaching about traditional and digital images, photography, illustration, motion graphics, and special effects for DV and film for over 20 years. He has authored and contributed to several Adobe After Effects and Photoshop how-to books, has been an Adobe Certified Expert, and has served as an instructor and featured speaker at numerous conferences. He is a 2010 Telly Awards recipient for his “Documercial” video productions and most recently completed “The Green Screen Handbook,” a textbook on green screen production and compositing techniques.

Olaf Giermann

Award-winning digital artist Olaf Giermann brings years of passion to his work, which ranges from elaborate fantasy images to witty visual ideas and dark visions of the future. As a member of the board of managers at www.photoshopnonstop.de, along with board founder Calvin Hollywood, Olaf has helped to create an active community of Photoshop users. He has also long been a leading trainer in the German community and is the author or co-author of numerous best-selling titles, including “Photoshop Secrets” and “Photoshop Secrets 2.”
