In this chapter you’ll be introduced to the basics of iPhoto for iPad, starting with what you see when you first launch the application. You’ll also learn about albums, the Camera Connection Kit, iPhoto's setting and help, and more.
Editing Photos
In this chapter we’ll get into the heart of what iPhoto for iPad was meant to do: help you create great-looking images. You’ll learn about the various tools and features available for optimizing your photos.
Gestures
In this chapter you’ll see how to use gestures to unlock the full power of iPhoto for iPad. You’ll learn how to make selections, use the Loupe, and compare images onscreen.
Sharing Photos
Once you’ve created great photos you’ll want to share them. In this chapter you’ll learn how to get your images out there through journals, iTunes, beaming, Airplay, slideshows, and social media.
The lessons are wrapped in a feature-rich interface that lets you jump to any topic and bookmark individual sections for later review. Full-Screen mode provides a hi-def, immersive experience, and Watch-and-Work mode shrinks the video into a small window so you can play the videos alongside your application. Also included are exercise files that give you an easy way to try out the techniques you learn.

Available in the downloadable version of our courses, this feature makes it easy to create a custom bookmark in any lesson to mark where you left off or to make note of something you want to refer back to later. You can even add a name or short note to remind yourself what the bookmark is for.
