Welcome to After Effects Artist in Action
In this course you’ll work along with motion graphics artist Eran Stern as he uses After Affects to create a professional-quality sci-fi visual effect. The contents of this course include:
Preparation Work
In order to prepare for the project we’ll be doing in this course, in this chapter we’ll choose and import footage, remove noise, separate the actor from the background, organize the layer in 3D space, and more.
Tracking
Tracking will be key to completing this project successfully, and in this chapter we’ll walk through the process of tracking each of the actor’s hands.
Paint and Particle Effects
In this chapter we’ll begin to add some sizzle to our composition by applying the Write-on effect and creating a circle of energy particles.
Matching and Transporting
In this chapter we’ll place and combine all of the elements prepared in previous chapters, creating a very nearly finished product.
Final Touches
In this chapter we’ll add some finishing touches to the composition, including sound effects, music, and a more cinematic look.
The lessons are wrapped in a feature-rich interface that lets you jump to any topic and bookmark individual sections for later review. Full-Screen mode provides a hi-def, immersive experience, and Watch-and-Work mode shrinks the video into a small window so you can play the videos alongside your application. Also included are exercise files that give you an easy way to try out the techniques you learn.
